About Us!
Pour Over Prose is a vibrant pop-up bookstore that embodies passion, friendship, and community spirit. Founded by lifelong friends Rachel and Cassandra, this independent business combines their deep-rooted love of literature with a vision for fostering engaging, bookish experiences. From carefully curated like-new books and literary-themed items, Pour Over Prose serves as both a haven for readers and a stepping stone toward a future full-service coffee shop/bookstore.
Pour Over Prose is more than just a bookstore—it’s the realization of a dream nurtured by two lifelong readers who believe in the power of stories to connect and inspire. With a commitment to creating thoughtful literary spaces and a love for recommending great reads, Rachel and Cassandra are building something truly special. Whether you stop by for a book or a good conversation, Pour Over Prose welcomes you to be part of their story.

Our Story.
Rachel and Cassandra’s friendship began in high school, and though life took them in different directions for a while, they reconnected in early 2024 through a book club started by Cassandra. Both have been book lovers for as long as they can remember—finding joy, comfort, and inspiration in the written word. Whether they’re deep in conversation about their latest reads, swapping recommendations, or helping others discover their next favorite story, sharing the magic of books has always been a source of passion for them.
Pour Over Prose was an idea that Rachel had carried in her heart for years, quietly dreaming of creating a space where people could connect through stories. When she finally shared her vision with Cassandra, the spark ignited, and together, they brought the dream to life.

What We Offer.
Pour Over Prose specializes in selling like-new books alongside a curated selection of bookish merchandise. With a keen eye for great stories and engaging reads, Rachel and Cassandra handpick each item to reflect the kind of literary joy they love to share.

Our Vision For The Future!
Currently operating as a mobile pop-up, Pour Over Prose is just the beginning. Rachel and Cassandra plan to open a permanent brick-and-mortar bookstore and café in the Murrieta/Wildomar area. Their dream is to build a warm, community-driven space where readers of all ages can gather, explore, and fall in love with books again and again.

We Accept Donations!
We gladly accept book donations!
As a used bookshop, donated books are our main source of inventory, and they help us keep our shelves full and our prices accessible.
We accept all good quality books except for textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and yearbooks. Our goal at Pour Over Prose is to give stories a second life and make sure they find new homes within our community.
Every donation also supports a more sustainable, upcycled book world.
If you or someone you know has books to donate, contact us, we’d love to chat! Books we can’t sell are always donated to libraries, community centers, or offered as free reads at our pop-ups. Nothing goes to waste.
Love what we’re doing and want to support us beyond donating books? There are so many ways to help us reach our dream of opening a cozy brick-and-mortar used bookstore right here in the community: Share our posts on social media, visit us at pop-ups, or shop here online. Support our vision of one day offering coffee, books, and a space to study or unwind, and if you feel inclined, we also welcome monetary donations — every bit helps us get closer to a more mobile setup in the short term and a full store in the future.
Thank you for helping us turn pages and build dreams, one book at a time.
